Salamanca Airport, at 15 kilometers from the city, shared use with Matacán airbase. It is very easy to reach the city by bus (3 euros) or by taxi (about 15 euros). The flight offer is still not very large, but increasing gradually. Today there are direct flights from Barcelona, Mallorca and Malaga, and some seasonal flights from the Canaries.
Another option is to fly to Valladolid Airport (Villanubla), for example from London-Stansted, Brussels-Charleroi, Paris-Orly, Lisbon and Palermo-Punta Raisi. Be careful, however, the maximum weight allowed for luggage. From the airport of Valladolid to Salamanca by car takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
