His main research line is devoted to the study of men and women images in mass media from a gender perspective. He leads the research group Media and Gender at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca.

The Media and gender team has as a priority area of study the representation of women and men in journalistic communication and advertising from a gender perspective both in the mainstream media (press, radio, television) and new media ( Internet, Social Networks). Also look we pay attention to other cultural products (fiction, textbooks, comics, music, films...) which, by their very nature, are configured as powerful socializing agents.

Although gender representations (and therefore the messages) are the main subject of our study, our interest is also directed to other aspects of the communication process: the context, audience and media enterprises.
